Event Score for Die Lawine Burlesque

1. A stage, an empty space, a small square section of a gallery.

2. A white backdrop or a white wall.

3. A performer walks on stage, into the empty space, into the designated section of the gallery in a butoh fashion. A glacial walk, a gliding walk, a walk of extreme muscular attention and engagement.

4. Performer arrives at the center of the space. They wear what appears to be at least 10 layers of white clothing, but it is only 1. The textures of the fabrics should be diverse, but the color mostly uniform. This outfit must include a large hood that covers the eyes and half of the nose. This outfit has no sleeves. None of the performer's body is visible except for the small portion of their face that the hood does not cover.

5. "Die Lawine" is sung live by the performer.

6. When the looping pedal accompaniment comes in/the second time "Schnee und Baum und Blut" is sung the projected video begins to play. The projection is focused such that both the performer and the backdrop or the wall behind them are the screen.

7. The song and video end, in whichever order occurs naturally.

8. Silence. Stillness. A total and lengthy quietting of the space. The performer finds trance in the sound and experience of their simple breath.

9. With guillotine precision and speed the performer undoes the tie, or the button, or the snap that holds the entire outfit together and except for a slight whip of the their head to throw off the hood they let the humongous garment fall to the floor. The nude body of the performer is revealed in a sensual pose (one hip slightly lower than the other, knee of the lower hip slightly bent, arms relaxed, shoulders back), "here I am, I love my body, look at me glow, I think you are all so sexy".
